I’m so glad you’re here.

Hey! You found me! I’m so glad you’re here.

Today’s a big day in my little corner of the Internet.

I have a new piece up at Coffee + Crumbs. Do you know them? Maybe that’s how you got here, or maybe you’ve just wandered in on a fortuitous occasion. In any case, the ladies who run the site are fabulous, and you should follow them. I am always deeply honored when they choose to share my work.

(They also run a really wonderful creativity group, Exhale Creativity, which is currently accepting new members. You guys, this group gives me life. If you’re at all creatively inclined, I highly recommend joining.)

As if that weren’t enough, I also had the pleasure of popping in to chat with Lo at The Milk Making Minutes podcast. Lo is a local lactation consultant, and if you’ve ever met me in real life, you know I have needed like, A Lot of help breastfeeding. We had a really nice conversation about my varied nursing journeys with my three girls, and I would love it if you’d give it a listen. The episode is up today over on her website, and there’s also a transcript available if that’s more accessible for you.

And, finally, I just started a new adventure in floral design. I’ve been obsessed with flowers forever, and I recently started taking some formal classes to learn more about how to make this passion a career (or, you know, one piece of my hilariously jumbled career puzzle….). A few weeks ago I gently launched my new businesses, Bloom and Grow Floral Design (so gently that it doesn’t even have its own website yet – I’ll get there soon!). This weekend I delivered 11 arrangements for Easter, and it gave me so much joy that I immediately decided to do it again! I’m offering a Mother’s Day pop-up sale of $20 hand-tied bouquets, with all of the proceeds going to the Voices of Children Foundation, which is providing psychological and logistical support to families affected by the crisis in Ukraine. This situation has just been breaking my heart, and I wanted to do something to help. If you happen to be a local (within 30 minutes of Hudson MA or Mansfield MA), check out the details and sign up!

That’s a lot of activity for one Monday, am I right? To top it all off, my oldest is off from school for a few days, so we’re headed out to explore the fairy forest at a local park.

Thank you for stopping by! Follow my blog, sign-up for my newsletter, and come back soon!

  1. So awesome that you started a floral business! It was such a pleasure to record and share your story. I think so many people will relate to it!

Tell me what you think!
